PRIMARY STRUCTURAL ROOFS AND CEILINGS

Primary Structural Roofs and Ceilings

Composites bring considerable benefits to architecture due to their superior load bearing and corrosion resistance properties.

Primary structural roofing structures for commercial and industrial buildings, which are traditionally made of steel, must meet wind uplift and weight bearing requirements. Special attention must also be paid to ventilation because metal may be exposed to moisture in the interior of the building.  Composites, due to their light weight and high strength and stiffness, are an ideal choice for primary structural roofing systems. Their low thermal conductivity also helps to maintain the indoor temperature and create a more environmentally friendly building.

BFG Architecture has been a key contractor in some of the world’s most iconic buildings and structures, bringing breath-taking designs to life and reshaping city skylines.
